Do I need to be good at art?

The short answer is no.

You don't need to be good at art to participate in arts therapy.  The art is used for expression and meaning making.  The arts therapist is not there to judge your art and the art that is made is treated with respect.

Often clients surprise themselves with the art they make in sessions and can become very attached to some pieces. At Arts Therapy Spectrum we believe everyone is inherently creative.
